A tomato sauce packaging plant in California uses a 6” x 13’ hose for transferring hot then cold water on their pressure cooker turets. The existing hoses kept failing with the “crimped” end fittings detaching from the hose and causing a safety concern. Home Rubber surveyed the site and produced a rubber hose solution with “built-in” fittings that are bonded to the rubber hose and will not detach. Home Rubber also advised on how best to support the weight of the hose using lifting lugs on the fitting and a HoseBun to support the weight of the hose filled with water and eliminate the stress on the end fittings.
